Accessibility in Motion Ltd. wants customers to be confident when ordering from RentWithAim.ca. This Return & Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds, damaged items, and cancellations are handled for products purchased through our website.

1. General Return Eligibility

We accept return requests for eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

  • be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
  • be returned in its original packaging where applicable
  • include all components, accessories, manuals, and tags
  • be accompanied by proof of purchase

Items returned in a used, damaged, altered, or incomplete condition may be refused or may qualify only for a partial refund where permitted.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale unless required otherwise by law:

  • custom-made or special-order items
  • products modified, configured, or assembled specifically for the customer
  • hygiene-sensitive or personal-use items once opened or used
  • clearance or final sale items
  • gift cards
  • products damaged through misuse, improper installation, or unauthorized modification

3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 3 days of delivery at help@rentwithaim.ca.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • a description of the issue
  • clear photos of the product
  • clear photos of the packaging
  • clear photos of the shipping label

If the claim is approved, we may offer a replacement, refund, store credit, or other reasonable resolution.

4. Return Authorization

Do not send items back without contacting us first. Return instructions must be requested in advance by email at help@rentwithaim.ca.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

5. Return Shipping

If the return is due to our error, or because the product arrived damaged or defective, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs where appropriate.

If the return is for any other approved reason, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless we state otherwise in writing.

We recommend using a tracked shipping method. We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.

6. Restocking Fee

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15% where permitted, particularly for non-defective items or items requiring inspection, repackaging, or supplier return handling.

No restocking fee will apply where a refund is required because we shipped the wrong item or the product arrived defective and the claim is verified.

7. Refund Processing

Once an approved return is received and inspected, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or unless required by law.

8. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before they are processed, packed, shipped, specially ordered, or otherwise committed for fulfillment.

If an order has already entered fulfillment, it may no longer be cancellable.

Any consumer rights that apply under British Columbia law for valid cancellation of a distance sales contract remain unaffected.

9. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If an order is refused, unclaimed, or returned because of an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or non-acceptance, we may deduct:

  • original shipping charges
  • return shipping charges
  • carrier handling fees
  • any applicable restocking fee

The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded to the original payment method.

10. Return Condition Requirements

Returned items must be packed securely to prevent damage in transit. We may reduce or deny a refund if returned items arrive damaged because of poor packaging by the sender.

11. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
