Cummins ISB Parts and Service Guide
The Cummins ISB platform
The Cummins ISB (and its newer cousin, the B6.7) is one of the most common medium-duty diesel engines in North America. It shows up in school buses, fire trucks, RVs, mini excavators, skid steers, and gensets. AIM Rentals stocks the full filter and service parts lineup for ISB and B6.7 at our BC warehouses.
ISB filter set (genuine Fleetguard)
| Filter type | Part | Service interval |
|---|---|---|
| Lube spin-on | LF16015 | 500 hours / 25,000 km |
| Fuel spin-on | FF5421 | 500 hours |
| Fuel/water separator | FS19732 | 500 hours |
| Air primary | AF25555 | Inspect daily, replace as needed |
| Coolant | WF2073 | Annually |
Common ISB failure points
- HPCR injector failure: usually traceable to fuel contamination. Run a 2-micron fuel/water separator.
- EGR cooler cracking: keep coolant chemistry on spec, use WF2073.
- VGT actuator: clean soot from the actuator linkage at major services.
